Jets over Pampa 2010
Een successful 20th edition
The twentieth edition of Jets over Pampa was a big succes! the level of the planes and pilots was again higher than last year.
Over 4000 visitors came to enjoy roughly 250 beautiful jets and the flying skills of more than a hundred pilots. On Saturday the weather was very good with the sun shining all day. Only the crosswind made it very difficult for the pilots during landing. Sunday started good, but some rain showers passed by in the afternoon..
This year, we were in the newspaper and on local television with an interview the day before the meeting and in the news on Sunday. Also, the Belgian National Television (VRT) put us in the news broadcasts on Sunday (at noon, in the evening and the late night news). You can watch the coverage

As usual, most of the pilots came from Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, France and Luxembourg. But we had again a delegation of pilots coming from Sweden and Norway. Also, there was a pilot from Cyprus that obviously got the trophy for the furthest coming pilot.
We notice that the scale models get bigger and more realistic each year, something we only can applaud. Also our spectators notice this, and fully enjoy these magnificent jets.
Especially the 5,5 meter long Victor Bomber with a weight of 71 kg, the duo flight of two beautiful SR-71a espionage planes and the 'EasyJet' Airbus A-320 made a big impression. Of course, a lot of (fast) sport jets were at the field.
Our jury had a difficult job because of the vast amount of superb jets and the bad weather that disrupted the flying sometimes.r.
The first price and the challenge trophy went to Ali Machinchy for his demo with the Fox glider (scale 1:2) powerd by a jet engine. It was already for the thirth time in a row he got the trophy and could take it home permanently.
Finally, we as Pampa Modelfighters want to thank all the pilots, spectators and our hard-working crew that made Jets over Pampa 2010 this big success!

Jets over Pampa 2011
Next year, in 2011, Jets over Pampa will take place during the weekend of July, 23 and 24. We hope everyone will come back again then.
